At The Carnegie senior living community, we enrich our residents’ lives through The Art of Living Well, which includes unique partnerships with local businesses. One notable partnership is with Sarah’s Handmade Ice Cream, a cherished Bethesda brand founded by mother and daughter team, Sarah and Annie Park.
Sarah’s Handmade Ice Cream is renowned for its small-batch, locally sourced ice cream made from the finest natural ingredients. Beyond their delicious offerings, Sarah’s is deeply committed to community service, supporting causes like St. Jude’s Hospital and local schools, earning them the title of Best of Bethesda.
The story of Sarah’s Handmade Ice Cream began in the early 90s, when Sarah Park started making ice cream for her daughter in South Korea. After moving to Bethesda and retiring in 2018, Sarah, with Annie’s help, turned her hobby into a thriving business with three scoop shops in Maryland.
What makes Sarah’s special is its focus on mentorship and giving back to the community—values that align perfectly with The Carnegie. We’re proud to be one of the few select locations in the DMV area to offer Sarah’s Handmade Ice Cream, providing our residents with access to this local treasure.
This partnership is more than a sweet indulgence; it reflects our commitment to supporting local businesses and creating enriching experiences for our residents. These collaborations offer unique intellectual and educational experiences that are exclusive to The Carnegie, helping to build a strong community while boosting the local economy. From special membership benefits to rotating art exhibits and captivating performances, our partnerships are thoughtfully curated to enhance the lives of our residents and align with our Signature brand and The Art of Living Well.
