I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for your presence and invaluable contribution to our recent Town Hall meeting. Your active participation and insightful feedback truly made it a resounding success. We will continue to host monthly Town Hall meetings with one meeting in person at our Discovery Center and one on Zoom. Our next on-site Town Hall meeting is Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 10:00am to 11:30 am. Our Zoom Town Hall meeting is Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm. I would also like to extend my heartfelt apologies for the unforeseen construction delay that has pushed opening from July 2024 to August 15, 2024. We understand that this may have caused inconvenience and frustration and look forward to continuing the dialogue on what you need from us to support this updated timeline. Our commitment to you is a seamless, safe and comfortable experience when you move into your new home, and we thank you for your understanding.
As a follow-up to this announcement, Mayela Ngimbi, your Residency Coordinator, will be calling each of you starting on Monday to schedule two visits. The first would be your new move-in date and the second would be to schedule a singular two-hour home visit in the July/August timeline. Each member or couple is allowed to bring no more than two additional individuals with them to this appointment. You will not be permitted to tour the community or common areas; this is solely an escorted home visit. You will meet us at the Discovery Center, and we will transport you to the community and escort you to your residence. A member of our team will need to be with you the entire time and will then transport you back to the Discovery Center.
You will not need to reach out to Mayela to schedule these visits; Mayela is proactively calling all members starting on Monday, February 19, 2024, based on deposit date, with all member calls slated to be completed by Friday, February 23, 2024. The following Monday, February 26, 2024, Mayela and I will meet and review all date requests to ensure we have a smooth move-in for each of you. Please let Mayela know if there are any modifications to your residence that you are requesting, the window for submission of residence changes closes on March 1, 2024. Mayela has completed a call with each of you already and we are confident that everything has been captured, but please make sure you verify your list during next week’s call so that we can begin planning for bids, as well as establishing financial occupancy dates and your physical move-in dates as those may differ.
During our Town Hall meeting, we also introduced your Community Management Team. All Director-level positions – with the exception of our Assisted Living Director – have been hired, and we are excited to have them on board! Each Director’s photo and bio will be added to your TouchTown app in the coming week. TouchTown is our resident portal app that was rolled out during the Town Hall meeting.
