The holiday season is a time of giving, and this year, we’re excited to take part in something truly special. The Carnegie, in partnership with the city’s program, The Gaithersburg Holiday Giving Project, has adopted 200 children in Montgomery County. On the evening of December 8, we will host our first Winter Wonderland, where you can join in on the holiday fun.

Our Winter Wonderland event promises a host of activities to make this evening truly special. Starting at 1:30 pm in the Discovery Center, The Carnegie invites you to bring your gifts in for complimentary wrapping (up to four presents per person). To keep everyone warm and toasty, hot cocoa and cookies will be served, creating that perfect winter-time atmosphere.

We all believe the more, the merrier, which is why we are reaching out to the community for support. The Discovery Center is central to the Holiday Giving Project, encouraging the community to contribute new, unwrapped toys for children until December 8.

At 4:30 pm, we’ll transition into helping the city’s Holiday Giving Project. We invite you to consider staying a while as we distribute gifts to 200 local children, complete with various activities, including face painting and a visit from Santa, who will be spreading smiles, laughter, and holiday cheer. Your time and generosity can make a world of difference.

For more information about our event and The Gaithersburg Holiday Giving Project, feel free to reach out to the Discovery Center at 240.690.0726. Come join us in spreading joy, and let’s make this holiday season a little brighter for those in our community.
